Hi, my name is Splashy Doll. I'm a registered Thoroughbred born in March of 1986 and stand 16.2 hands. I'm black but registered as a dark bay. I was given to my daddy on June, 14th 2006 and it was the greatest day of my life. My daddy takes really good care of me and lets me play in the big arena at the equestrian center almost every day. Please visit my photo page (click my image below) to see pictures of me and my family. On this page I'll tell things as I remember them. How daddy remembers our meeting March 19, 2009 Today is my last day on earth. I haven't been feeling well for the last couple of weeks. It's hard to walk so daddy, mommy and Lauren decided to send me to horse heaven. Daddy made this animated GIF image so everyone can always see me running. I'll always be running in the pastures of heaven. Mommy and Daddy gave me a good, happy home and now I'm going to an even better place.
May 5, 2008 Watch a video of me and Lauren: Splashy Video September 23, 2006 Daddy took me out for a ride today. It was a lot of fun. First we worked in the big arena for awhile and then in a small round pen. After that we rode around the ranch for about half an hour. I managed to throw a shoe though so we'll have to wait for the ferrier to fix that before we ride again. September 24, 2006 Daddy posed with me, Pearl and Stormy for some family photos today. I wanted to play but he wouldn't let my until after the pictures. We had fun though. I finally got to meet Stormy, he's an intersting horse. I hope I get to spend more time with all of them now that daddy is riding me. November 21, 2006 Daddy say's Stormy's not going to be moving to our new home with us. Hmm, that's too bad. I'm sure Pearl will miss him as will daddy's son Dakota. I will too I suppose, he was kinda neat. Daddy said we're moving this weekend after the holiday. Not sure how I feel about that yet. I like it here but he said I'm getting a bigger stall which I'm really excited about, this one is kinda small. He also said they have a bigger arena for me to play in. Cool! Maybe I can get Pearl to race. <snicker> Daddy also had the ferrier take my shoes off when he was out so I get to go barefoot now. Guess that means no one is going to ride me anymore. I suppose I like that idea but I will miss making daddy nervous as that was kinda fun. :) Daddy said I get to just be a horse from now on and not have to do anything but run around when I feel like it. November 26, 2006 Daddy moved us yesterday to our new home. I love my new stall, it's so much bigger then my old one. I can actually move around and laydown if I want to. YAY!! I didn't like the trailer ride very much but I do like Pearl. She's pretty cool for a Quarterhorse. I got my leg stuck across the bar between us and it scared me and when I tried to get loose I hurt my leg and banged my head pretty good. Daddy and mommy fixed me though when we got to our new home and it feels a lot better now. They brought some kind of wierd hay though and I didn't like it much. Yuck! Taste like grass. I love the water bucket in my stall too. It's so big I can wash my face when I want too. Today daddy came out to see us pretty early and took me to this really huge arena and let me play. I loved it!! It's probably twice the size of the old arena and when my leg is healed I can't wait to run around it. They also brought more of that gross hay again. I wouldn't eat it! He also took me over to meet Sugar, Rainy and Blue. I don't like Sugar, she's an upitty teenager who thinks she knows everything. I tried to tell daddy that he should let me talk to her, I'll set her straight on who the queen is. ME! I'm not sure about Rainy and Blue, they're pretty quiet. Daddy took Pearl out and I got scared, I don't want to be left alone and I don't have any friends here to talk to and Pearl's stall is the only one close to me. I miss Tessa. I hope daddy gives me the chance to meet some other horses and make some friends. Daddy took Pearl out this afternoon with mommy and Blue and though I got scared again it wasn't as bad as before and they came back sooner this time. Daddy also got them to give us alfafa instead of that gross stuff. YUM!! I love alfafa! Anyway, I'm going to go eat now. |
