I got really board one day and was poking around the Yahoo! website and stumbled across Yahoo! personals. I decided what the heck and setup a profile with some pictures of me and the horses.

A few days after I set the profile up I get an email notifying me that I had a message so I logged on and checked it out. I saw BethAnne's short note and decided I had nothing to lose so responded with a simple short one myself.

We started sending messages back and forth through the Yahoo! personals website and eventually exchanged email addresses. After a week or so of emails back and forth we exchanged phone numbers and I called her and left a message. We started talking on the phone for hours at a time into the wee hours of the morning and after a few days decided to get together to go riding.

I drove down to San Diego; picked her up at her house and we went to breakfast at a little restaurant in Alpine. It was a wonderful meal and afterwards we walked around a couple of the shops in the area. We then went back and drove out to the ranch and went out on a short trail ride with Sugar and Blue. Sugar started acting up so we turned back and saddled up Rainy instead.

We headed back out and had some interesting moments with Rainy and Blue (this was only like their 6th time out on trail) but managed to have a great ride. After the trail ride we spent some time with the horses and headed to her place where I fixed dinner for her and Eddie.

We spent the rest of the evening sitting on the couch watching movies and I headed home around midnight.

It's funny how you aren't looking for something and then it falls in your lap or slaps you in the face. I wasn't looking to fall in love but I did and the rest as they say is history. I'm now living in San Diego with the most wonderful person in my life and hope we'll be together for ever.
